In April of 2016 the graduating Class of Lenz High 1986 hosted a 30th year reunion event – at this event a giving project was initiated with a view to use the opportunity to “give back” to an institution that had shaped many who had been educated there.

The Organising Committee of the 30th reunion felt that it was important to consider a project that would allow for an ongoing relationship that alumni of the school could contribute to and could possibly become a project that reached beyond Lenz High and contributed to the upliftment and development of public high schools in Lenasia and support the broader Lenasia community. Post the Class of 1986 reunion an alumni group was established to drive this initiative.
